21st 2005- Number of broadband subscribers at the
end of Q4 2004 reached 144.9 million.
Asia-Pacific with more than 58 million subscribers
and 41 per cent annual growth is the biggest broadband
market in the world.
Americas with over 45 million subscribers and 35 per
cent annual growth is the second largest market for
broadband followed by Europe and Middle East-Africa

In terms of
subscriber gain, with more than 45 million new subscribers
the number of broadband subscribers soared to over
144 million. Asia-Pacific and Europe with nearly 17
and 16 million new subscribers have been biggest regions
in terms of nominal subscriber gain followed by Americas
and Middle East- Africa.

US with nearly 35 million broadband
subscribers is the biggest market in the world.
The top ten largest markets by 117 million subscribers
control nearly 82 per cent of entire broadband market.
